From 10,000 kilometers away to the heart of Chicago, I just experienced unforgettable days at DjangoCon US 2025.
Three incredible days of joy, learning, and networking at DjangoCon US 2025 in Chicago have just come to an end. It was my second time attending #DjangoCon, and my first time experiencing the vibrant city of Chicago.
This year marked the 20th anniversary of #django. I truly believe Django can continue to thrive for many years, thanks to its strong and passionate community.
I had a few extra moments at the airport before my flight so I decided to post the script to the first part of my #DjangoCon talk.
Give it a whirl to whet your appetite.
On my flight home from my first #Djangocon. It was a lovely event with a clearly intentional focus on community. I really appreciated the vegan / dairy-free food options, including dessert every day (I rarely get to have dessert at conferences!) Plus I learned a thing or two! I'll be doing my best to be back again.
Sadly, I had to say goodbye to #DjangoCon a little early.
It was great seeing friends new and old. Hope to see you all at the next one, if not sooner!
So long, #DjangoCon, it’s been great! I hope we can do this again some time.
I'm so happy to hear people find my django-based QR code generator site is useful to them (I talked about it yesterday at DjangoCon US) but I didn't expect anyone actually trying to sign up to it 😊 I take it as a good sign that this is a useful project! But I'm unprepared for it all 😅 I didn't meant for anyone to be signing up there so I didn't even configure django-allauth properly 😣 Oops!
Please bear with me and give me time to be prepared.
I’m attending the panel “Two Decades of Django: The Past, Present and Future” here at #DjangoCon US 2025 in Chicago!
An inspiring lineup of community leaders is reflecting on Django’s journey, the challenges ahead, and what it takes to keep our ecosystem thriving.
Thanks to @djangocon for bringing us together to celebrate 20 years of Django!

It's been fun captioning for y'all! We are remote this year, but it's an honor to be able to watch this community who cares and is doing great things in the world! ❤️

Today the Django Software Foundation is at @djangocon with a booth - come chat with us and ask questions! We have four Board members in attendance, two Fellows, our assistant Catherine, two Steering Council members 🤘💚
