Welcome to southern tier United for responsible Surveillance, or sUS for short. We are a local activist organization in Binghamton, New York focusing on responsible surveillance. 

While living under surveillance capitalism, as referenced by Shoshana Zuboff in her book, The Age of Surveillance Capitalism, we noticed that there was a need to educate our neighbors on surveillance technology. We are a collective of humans providing support to those effected by irresponsible surveillance.

Our values include democratization of tech over corporate big tech. We encourage adoption of privacy, security, alternative tech ecosystems such as Mastodon and other Fediverse alternatives. A better world is possible than our present mass surveillance dystopia.
