Research by CORRECTIV and Qurium has revealed that the Russian state relies on the toolbox of internet fraudsters for the dissemination of propaganda and fakes. A talk on the state's possible alliance with the criminal world - and on possibilities and limitations of countering it.

The elevator technician had to be called 16 times to fix the freight elevator.
There were 14 infobeamer devices that had 2 million possible combinations of slides. The peak streaming was 12 Gbps during the Volkswagen talk. For media.ccc.de, it used 10 TB of egress traffic. #38c3
Next up is the C3 Lingo (@c3lingo) who interprets the talks. They interpret 100% of all of the talks with a team of 75 interpreters. Most talks were translated into German / English but also several other languages. This year they had 3 translators per both instead of 2 that they had last year.
One of the main problems this year was that the number of talks increase and the break time is decreasing. This was solved by using a new distribution tool. The audience was able to tune in via the new audio portal. #38c3
There is a huge market for cloaking services that enable the bypassing of advert moderation. There are services that sell fake accounts. The Doppelganger campaign used the KEHR cloaking service which was run by a Ukrainian man who shut down the service when they were contact. #38c3
