We wrapped up #djangocon for 2023 at 17:00 Eastern Time today. Exactly 2 weeks and 20 minutes before my flight leaves for #DjangoConAfrica.
It's DjangoCons all the way down.
Preparing to head home after a wonderful week in Durham for #djangocon 🐂 . I will write up some thoughts on the plane, but tl;dr this is a unique community, and it feels in a very good place at the moment.
Thank you @djangocon 🐂 for a wonderful experience as a first time attendee! I met so many amazing people ❤️, gave a lightning talk with @adamghill ⚡️🤩 , and learned a lot from all the speakers 🧠

I started my week on Sunday and Monday checking folks into the conference and verifying negative covid tests.
It was lovely catching so many Django friends on their way into the conference.
🛫 I am about to take off on my second/last flight home. One hell of a year #djangocon friends. See you next year and I hope everyone rests up afyer a wonderful week.

I really enjoyed the final panel, especially hearing from my old mentor Charles and my friend and my warmest welcoming voice in NC, Julia.
