I thought @djangocon’s COVID policy struck a good balance this year (again): Testing on the day of the conference, and again before the sprints, plus a seating area in the talks where masks were required. This seemed to me to work well. Wonder what others think? #djangocon 🐂
Chilling out @djangocon with @josh @_chrismay and @ryancheley who all got their talks done in great style today! #DjangoCon 🐂
OK, @CodenameTim had a super idea: We’re going to do a package maintainers open space @djangocon. If you’re a maintainer in the @django ecosystem (or you want to be) and you’ll be there, look out for that. We can share our woes, and joys of course, and plans, and hopes. 🤗 #Django #djangocon #DjangoconUS
@webology @wsvincent @simon @ghickman (we were Jeff, we were! 🤗)
I absolutely agree. Django’s development server should happen to be production worthy too. And it should know about staticfiles. And it should do caching. And it should handle async for you, so that wasn’t a whole “change my stack” manoeuvre.
Let’s chat about this at #DjangoCon!
@kojoidrissa kicking us off @djangocon #SelfCareSprint Remember to take care of yourself. #DjangoconUS #DjangoCon 🐂
Taking us out for the day, @laymonage on “Django, the web framework that changed my life”. (So many of us can say that! 🥰) #DjangoCon 🐂
@webology @EmmaDelescolle @bmispelon @nemecek_f in fact, @jacob was asking for a funding proposal at #djangocon. The DSF paying @nemecek_f to fix the community aggregator would be a nice small project to try the waters 🤔
