I met the owner of the laptop I bought at auction at the end of the #EuroBSDCon2024 and gave it back to him. He's very happy & he paid me back what I donated to the Women's Rescue shelter. A happy ending!

One for the UNIX hardcore here, possibly. I'm at #EuroBSDCon2024 and I did something I've never done at any software conference before in my life.

I asked for an autograph. Kirk McKusick, author of FFS and much else. But I didn't realise who was sitting next to him. His husband, Eric Allman, the author of `sendmail`.

Two heroes for the price of one.
