EuroPython 2025 2025

mborus (12)

ticket sales have just opened.

See ep2025.europython.eu/tickets/

There's no early bird this year. You have 3 months until late bird pricing begins.

However if you intend to do the tutorial workshop days, make sure to get those tickets early because there's a 300 spot limit.

There's a full refund policy on tickets in place until June 8th if it turns out later you can't come.

Looking forward to see you in Prague in July.

Are you coming to in Prague this year?

Check your email if you have bought a conference ticket.

You should have a mail from Europython which includes info on the social event - if you want to join that evening, better pre-order a ticket soon. Over half of them have already sold and there's limited space - as every year.

Spent most of the evening reviewing talk suggestions for . This is pretty hard - because a review decision really effects people.

I'm doing this for the first time. On average it takes me 20 minutes per review.

Half of it is research. To check if the topic has relevance and if Europython or other PyCons have already covered it.

If everybody else takes as long as me and if every CfP is reviewed by 2 people, in total that's 16 days of volunteer time just to make this decision...

If you are coming to and have a login for the EPS discord server - and if you have access to the „25-Programme“ area: There's a post which lets you vote for your favorite keynote speakers.

It’s easy to miss stuff like this on discord, so I’m glad @cmaureir sent out a reminder.

Don’t delay if you want to influence the results.

[Edited to mention that not everyone on the server may have access]

If all seats in a room are taken , alas you can’t enter. But you can also stream the talk live so that you don’t miss it.

If you're close to the southern border: is in Prague and there's a direct train from "Flensborg" -> Prague. I'll be on that one.

PyConIT will be hard without flying. PyConDE will work by train as well.

If you see me at any of those, say hi.

If you're coming to in Prague, have you already booked your hotel room and/or train tickets?

I booked mine today - with an option to cancel up to a week to the event for a minimal fee of €10.

One more week until

To get the most out of meeting so many people, I usually keep a "wishlist" of topics I would like to chat about or find out more about this year.

I highly recommed creating one in your favorite note taking app. And in the next 7 days, if you think about something you'd like to discuss, pull it out and make a note.

So you won't run out of things to talk about...
