Tomorrow at the #EuroPython sprints – come contribute to Django with us! 💚 We’d love to see people who are interested in volunteering, as well as coders. Lots of opportunities for impactful contributions well beyond Django core
At #EuroPython lots of people are asking how many projects are built with @django. The answer is about 500,000 to 1M. And yet we only raise $250k per year to support the project, yep, sustainability in open source is hard ☺️
As #Django turns 20 we’re starting to explore the tough existential questions at the #EuroPython social… does the Django pony have a name?
First PyCon Finland in 9years!! Mahtavaa! #europython 🇫🇮
Just signed up to Community Notes after hearing Andy Kitchen and Laura Summers at #EuroPython. Understanding those algorithms is crucial for our society, we badly need those talks in the #Python community 💚
“I don’t know if you’ve been using #Python these last two years but we talk a lot about Rust” 💀 @adriencaccia #EuroPython @codspeedhq
Another great tip from the #EuroPython beginners session - making a wishlist of things you want to talk about with other attendees ⭐️
Love this little promotion of the hallway track at #EuroPython - “talks are good but we are here not just to watch” ☺️
Any Djangonauts around for the #EuroPython sprints? I’d like to do some #Django contributing, ideally support others. If there are other pre-existing contributors around we can team up and support more people
Topics I’ve lined up so far just based on my own expertise: management commands; Django admin; Django website
