Travel buddy @timothy and I are ready for #EuroPython conference day 1 😊
And I know I'll be way more relaxed once I'm done with my talk which starts at 12:20 😅
@timothy supporting @foosel to talk about shitty people. #EuroPython
Wow, what an awesome first day at #EuroPython! Travel buddy @timothy is exhausted but still happy about the badge he got, and after a nice dinner with a small group of old and new friends I'm now also calling it a day and am joining him in my hotel room to relax and just read a bit. Well, after whipping up some slides for a possible Lightning Talk 😬
But awesome day, successful talk, great feedback, and someone from the audience sent me a great summary too!
Next up @foosel with "How to deal with toxic people".
Great variety of talks here at #europython2025.
Yay, I got my own badge now thanks to the awesome volunteers at #EuroPython! And as I was on the podium with Gina I even got a Speaker sticker 😊
how to estimate time
"make an optimistic estimate, then make a pessimistic one. Then sum them" #EuroPython #EuroPython2025
This evening I attended the speakers' dinner at EuroPython 2025. 🍻
As always, it's nice to have a moment of relaxation and exchange experiences and ideas with the other conference speakers. 🗣️
I met old and new friends this evening. 🫂
I'll see everyone else in Prague 🇨🇿

At EuroPython, a main room full of people is following my friend Antonio Cuni's talk about "Myths and fairy tales around Python performance" 🐍
Savannah Bailey, Python Core Developer, is presenting the first keynote address of EuroPython 2025, on "You don’t have to be a compiler engineer to work on Python." 🐍
It is true that contributions are more than just commits. For @savannah, it was triaging and documentation #europython
