Oh sweet, my talk recording, “How do we work out the environmental savings from accessibility?" is online now!

Here's the direct link to the talk - it's 20mins long, with 5 mins of questions:

I'll add the other links to the deck, the FOSDEM page and the rest in the other posts in the thread.

If you’re at , and

1. you’re feeling a bit 😅 about how crammed some of the rooms are
2. you‘d prefer to avoid either getting or transmitting some nasty lurgy

Then this post might be useful to you.

I spent a bunch of time yesterday hunting around in shops near the campus to buy one. Learn from my folly - this would have been much more convenient:

As an example, this I made a decision to start funding OSS I use myself via @ecosystems this year, because it does this.

Let me set a recurring amount , and solve the allocation problem for me, or at least make it engaging.

Don’t me a think every single time about whether I’ll donate and how much - I’ll usually drop out the funnel.

If you're at , I put this shared pad together a few weeks back for ppl thinking about air quality and public health.

Following on a suggestion from Nico Rikken in the Energy Dev room, I've bashed together this super-lofi “dashboard" (ahem) for some of the rooms:

Anyone can edit and improve it. If you know someone to tag, with a room, please do.

I'm dashing to my first session, as I overslept 😅

@diffrentcolours Ahoy! I agree that monitoring without a plan to make any changes isn't that helpful.

However, I think having some data makes it easier to propose changes in future. Some other folks and I made a submission a run a devroom to ourselves for 2025, and we were looking into the options for setting up HEPA filters in case we were accepted.

This is likely gonna be a multi-year project - I'm going in with my eyes open 😅

Oh neat! If you follow - we now have 7 devrooms interested in doing indoor CO2 monitor thing! WOOT!

Here's the pad we're using to coordinate. If you are organising a devroom, or planning go to one at fosdem and would like to see some info about indoor CO2 (i.e. a rough proxy for air quality used for public health), then you can add yourself to the list below:
