Now that #PyConUS is over, why not attend and support a regional #Python conference?

PyCon US sold out this year, and it will probably continue to do so. Smaller, regional events are going to be a more important part of how we support the growth of our community, but we need your support -- attendance and sponsorship -- to fulfil that role.

I run @NorthBayPython (#NBPy), but there's plenty of others in the US, including fellow @ThePSF events @pycascades and @pyohio off the top of my head.

This is the #Python community I experienced in a state of change just as I joined, that I remained honoured to be a part of, and am humbled to continue to keep serving on the board of @ThePSF and through #NBPy, steering #PyConAU, and many more.

Went out to the ranch with @josh today to finalise the #NBPy contract for next year. Their business manager is so demanding (of scritches).

Because it's part of the #PyConUS discourse: it's possible to have a data-driven public health policy that gives space for people who need masks and filtered air (https://social.coop/@NorthBayPython@social.northbaypython.org/112497230127564879). We're doing that at #NBPy, and I'm happy to share lessons we learned this year and last.
