David Lord python (10)

Thank you North Bay Python for an incredibly fun and relaxing event full of wonderful people. Yes, this event was deeply necessary.

It’s coming back next year, follow @NorthBayPython!

Managed to snap a pic of the North Bay Python venue from the train before it went behind the hill.

On the ferry from San Francisco to Larkspur, it’s a wonderful day! See everyone soon in Petaluma for North Bay Python!

Why is it possible to make so many metaphors about the software world from this wood block game?!

At first I though @glyph was just condensing all of the stuff I need to document about my project processes into a 30 minute talk, but now he's also turned it into a song. Very effectively getting across how overwhelming it can all be, and that we need to remember to have fun with our projects, not just make them perfect.

I'll be presenting a new talk, "Magical (or not) GraphQL", at North Bay Python 2024! Introducing a new open source library I wrote for work, how I wrote it, cool things to do with GraphQL, and what I've discovered I want instead of GraphQL. Hopefully the barn cats will be interested too 😻

I'm at Brewsters listening to live music and sipping a beer. And typing furiously on a laptop, no particular reason.

Paraphrasing Adam Harvey @a as he quantifies Nebraska (xkcd.com/2347/) "projects are stable when they're supported" and "assure good faith". Not putting the burden on an overworked maintainer, but a community of users (and companies) actively keeping projects healthy across many metrics is so important

@a But spoiler alert, numbers aren't everything and Nebraska can't be fully quantified.
