DjangoCon US 2023 πŸ‚

2023 DjangoCon US πŸ‚ took place on October 16-20, 2023 in Durham Convention Center in Durham, NC. See the Schedule.

There have been 325 posts and 1652 favourites with the hashtags #djangocon or #djangoconus on Mastodon during the conference.

So glad for masking policy and testing requirements.

This is my first convention in 4 years, and if there wasn't such a complete masking and testing policy I wouldn't be able to be here.

We're ALL masking, and it feels so good.

I gave a lightning talk at for day 2 titled "Building things when you have a cluttered mind 🧠"

I was worried it wouldn't be received well, but several folks have reached out to say they felt seen and validated and that the talk was helpful. That has really made my week!

I have made a few small changes to the fedidevs page and I now also have some statistics to share:

There were 202 posts and 1183 favorites about the conference so far. The most favorited post currently has 372 favorites. ✨

Anything else that I can add to make the page better?

This has been truly fantastic. Unfortunately, I’ve had some health issues that have kept me from making the most of it, but I’m so thankful that every talk has been recorded. I’m looking forward at catching up soon!

"I'm passionate about tests. I will be looking for Andrew to be talking about the tests. I have many things to ask!"

This is also @nessita's first English-language talk in a large audience!
