It's interesting to see that #PyConUS is no longer targeting "economically depressed areas" with the 2026-2027 ones being in Long Beach, CA.

The #PyLadies auction went very well at #PyConUS.

There was a significant increase in registrations and attendance this year, resulting in #PyConUS selling out of all tickets for the first time.

Now that we have reached the closing of #PyConUS talks, I'll no longer be posting #PyConUSOpenSpaces announcements.

Thank you to everyone who has walked up to me and recognized me from posting those, my goal is to make them more accessible since we talk a lot about the hallway track.

I'll be sticking around for the #PyConSprints if anyone wants to find me. Can't guarantee I'll be posting room locations for those 😅.

Confirmed at #PyConUS a 5 year (maybe more, maybe less) plan for Python to remove the GIL. Currently they've got separate builds for with-GIL and free-threaded, the goal is to ensure backward compatibility while eventually getting rid of the GIL.

This is not going to be #Python 4.

There are no #PyConUS open spaces at 5pm today, but there are a few after that.
