Thanks to everyone who came to the Beautiful Soup anniversary celebration at #PyConUS. I loved hearing all the stories of people getting into Python or programming through Beautiful Soup, using it for projects big and small.
I want to thank everyone who donated. In the end we raised over $15,300 from over 280 Donations at #PyConUS!
This will contribute to building communities, giving Pythonistas a chance to lead initiatives and support a lot of conferences who want to see a more diverse Python community.
Folks are asking what's next for me after #PyConUS.
I'm trying to figure out how to actually get paid doing things I'm good at 🤑
I'm working on finalizing how "Mariatta as a Consulting Service" would look like, so stay tuned for news.
Meanwhile one way you can support me is by sponsoring me on GitHub.

Thanks to the 11 people who are currently already sponsoring me.
I'm still at the sprints and would be happy to chat more in person!
Okay, that’s a wrap for #PyConUS . Flying home now. What an event: impossible to describe. See you all next year!
Last dinner before I leave Pittsburgh! #pyconus
Honestly it makes sense why there was a lot of frustration about masking at #PyConUS — the world really has decided to move on. I’m still glad we wore masks and allowed friends like @bitprophet, @brainwane, and others to join us. #covidisnotover #covid
It's impossible to sum up #PyConUS. But i wanted to note a few things, including yet another appearance of Sleepy Snake: https://nedbatchelder.com/blog/202405/echos_of_the_people_api_user_guide.html
Now that #PyConUS is over, why not attend and support a regional #Python conference?
PyCon US sold out this year, and it will probably continue to do so. Smaller, regional events are going to be a more important part of how we support the growth of our community, but we need your support -- attendance and sponsorship -- to fulfil that role.
I run @NorthBayPython (#NBPy), but there's plenty of others in the US, including fellow @ThePSF events @pycascades and @pyohio off the top of my head.
I love #PyConUS but wow does this venue put miles on your shoes
On my way to the airport from #PyConUS, and ... Wow. What a great conference.
So great to see my US friends again, to catch up on the buzz in the python world. To see the deep problems (tech and otherwise) that we're facing.
And now, some sleep.
