I haven't written my own personal PyCon US 2025 recap blog post yet, but most of the time I spent at the conference were related to PyLadiesCon, so I wrote the PyLadiesCon recap blog post instead.
Check it out!
Before there were even tiktoks, and shorts, and reels, there have always been: Lightning Talks ⚡ at conferences. Short and quick 5 minutes talk about something.
This year, I got to present a Lightning Talk at PyCon US: How to say thanks to Python people, and the video is now up.
Watch to learn all the different ways to show your appreciation to the Python community members around you. Number 5 will surprise you.
At PyCon US I filled like two swag bags full of stuff from various sponsor booths, with intention to share and give them away at my local Vancouver PyLadies meetup.
Todo: Now I gotta organize a meetup.
Problem: I need a venue 🥹 I'm technically an out-of-towner and don't have a strong local network
Help needed: Could y'all help connect me w/ potential meetup hosts in Vancouver area? I'd love to do a PyCon US Recap session for PyLadies Vancouver

We're sad that Denny Perez couldn't be with us at PyCon US, but she's been participating through the photos and videos we sent her, and she's been continuing to post for PyLadiesCon social media accounts.
We left this message for her and if you want to share a message for her too, we're sure she'll appreciate it. Thanks Denny for everything you do!
