๐ค Please DO NOT go to Condado Tacos if you are at #PyConUS (unless it's with me for lunch, then it's fine). I don't want there to be a line when I have lunch there every day, except on Pierogi Day. ๐ฌ
Nobody wants the tutorial they're giving to feel like it was finished the night before they're due to present. Nobody except @simon I guess ๐
He literally published a new pre-release of his #llm tool with new tool-calling capabilities LAST NIGHT. ๐ฎ It's a been a very cool part of the tutorial here at #PyConUS2025 and brings tool usage much more directly in contact with a developer's REPL. Super slick!
So the shittle trains at DFW broke in one direction. I made my flight with 30 seconds to spare, by running out of the terminal, getting one of the shuttle buses, which eventually got to the right terminal. Jelf.

so I'll still make #PyConUS tomorrow
Hey #PyConUS!
Want to learn a game? I would love to teach you the Cabo card game! ๐
Come to the Westin lobby!
I'm facilitating an Open Space at #PyConUS:
Beautiful Soup: Ask Me Anything
Sun. May 18th; 2-3pm
An open questions session with @leonardr, the maintainer of screen-scraping library #BeautifulSoup. If you've ever used or tried to use it, share your questions, confusions, stuff you've made, concerns, ideas, offers of help, etc. with Leonard in person. If we don't have a ton of questions, we might do some impromptu usability testing to check whether the new type hints help you use the library.
As I inexorably approach #PyConUS , a reminder to anyone who would like to be sure we meet up that you can pick a time at https://cal.com/glyph/pycon-us-2025 . You are also free to just come up and say hi at any time but time does tend to get away from me at conferences and especially at PyCon!
Started my trek to #PyConUS early this morning (before 4am local) with a walk to the train station in sleepy Redlands, CA and just sat down in the plane at LAX direct to Pittsburgh. See (some of) you there.
