I had so much fun giving my lightning talk at #PyConUS entitled MOSEY: Data for pedestrian safety. Here's the app: https://mosey-score.streamlit.app I'm looking to connect with the folks from the Friday Open Space Python for Advocacy, Activism, and Civics and anyone else who likes data + civics.

TIL uv doesn't byte compile installed packages (can opt-in), while pip does does byte compile by default (can opt-out). #PyconUS

TIL at #PyconUS : uv sync will install the current project / directory as an editable package. Perfect for the sprints! zanieb recommends uv sync as the preferred interface over the "imperative" uv pip workflow.

Everyone at #PyConUS ! I created a "Creative Coding with Python" open space for tomorrow at 1 pm in room 315. Come by to talk about #python and #creativecoding. What tools are you using and what are you working on? Let's learn from each other and have fun sharing our work.

I'm so glad I decided to go to the #PyLadies auction at #PyConUS tonight! It was SO much fun! I spent some time with old friends and made a bunch of new ones too.

Also, I am very glad that @wagtail got to be part of the famous "pen" grab bag lot that raised $2.1K for PyLadies! I loved how everyone in the room jumped in to contribute to the pile of loot that helped PyLadies reach their fundraising goal for the evening.

Such a fun time! 10 out of 10 would do again!

I teared up as I listened to @kwonhan's lightning talk at PyCon US today about The One Bagel for The PSF. It was such a lovely and touching story about how just one bagel can have meaningful impact and ripple effect to the rest of the community. Definitely watch the recording.

I'd be super curious to see if you get all the questions right :) I got all but the very last which IMO was set to ludicrous difficulty :)

Goodnight #PyconUS day 3! My health app says I walked 14K steps and 5 miles today. I am going to bed tired, happy, and perhaps most importantly to me, inspired by all the amazing people I met and talks I saw today. This is an exceptional community and I am grateful to be a part of it!

@roguelynn your key note was outstanding. I simply can't wait for the video to appear on Youtube so I can show my wife! I know she'll be inspired too.
