"play is only play if it's self directed" has just set off a lot of lightbulbs about my school's mandatory sports program 🤔
Whoever created this, thank you. This captures the energy of open source perfectly. If you see a problem you can be the one to fix it, and that's amazing! 💪
My suggestion related to this morning's #PyConUS panel session about diversity: A simple way to help with inclusion is to sit at lunch with someone who doesn't seem like you, and introduce yourself. It's easy, it's free, and those small connections grow and welcome people in.
Love hearing people in the #PyConUS keynote say "contributing to documentation is contributing to Python" and getting a round of applause. This documentation culture is a huge part of Python's continued success, and I'm proud to have a played a small part of it. 💗

Look at the amazing earrings I won at the PyLadies #PyconUS Auction!
1,674 glass beads arranged to represent a Python program.
Should I wear them to my poster session for everyone to check out?
Enjoyed @kattni speaking at the #PyConUS #community organizers summit!
A #PyConUS attendee pointed out this placement of this "Beautiful Soup" plate next to this snake plate in the Andy Warhol museium.
I do not understand whether this was done deliberately.

PyLadiesCon now has our own open source conference management tool at https://portal.pyladies.com
We have code, unit tests, and docs!
I announced it in the Community Organizers Summit at PyCon US. Check my slides to learn more.
I had so much fun giving my lightning talk at #PyConUS entitled MOSEY: Data for pedestrian safety. Here's the app: https://mosey-score.streamlit.app I'm looking to connect with the folks from the Friday Open Space Python for Advocacy, Activism, and Civics and anyone else who likes data + civics.
