@jack @jimsalter @acsawdey Yeah, one among the many things I have been inspired by this week is meeting no fewer than 5 retirees who no longer work in the field but still attend #pyconus because the tech and the community around it still bring joy into their lives.
As a matter of fact, one of them I had breakfast with today is a lovely bloke who used to be a mission control systems architect for NASA.
Made a donation to @pyladies @blackpythondevs and @thecarpentries post #pyconus talks, and if you lead a nice, privileged life like I do, you should too, because putting your money where your mouth is is more important than ever right now and they're all struggling.

it’s a sincerely amazing community and even more amazing conference. I saw talks displaying incredible innovation and amazing technical progress and others that were beautiful and creative and artistic where people are using their technological powers for good trying to make positive change in the world. It has been inspiring in the extreme.
I seem to recall you’re not the biggest fan of the language, but I think you might enjoy it nonetheless!
While I missed the remaining talks today, on my flight back from #PyConUS I was quite productive and made a new thing!
https://pyref.dev is a fast, convenient way to access Python reference docs.
It's also available as a CLI tool (pip install pyrefdev).
Thank you so much to the #PyConUS organizers, attendees, sponsors, and vendors, and the community. We know what it takes to run a big tech conference at the DLLCC and everyone did excellent.
We gave out so many stickers! The Hometown Heroes hatchery subconference presented by @PyDataPGH was an excellent display of what #Python talent we have in our city. We also loved the community organizers summit!

Was really humbled by the warm response (standing o!), the shared tears, and most of all, the spin-off open session folks organized to talk about their 2.0 life plans. Incredibly moving and inspired to keep going. We need this in tech.
Thank you Lincoln Loop for the continued support in making this possible and PyCon for the opportunity to share. 💙💛🐍

We're sad that Denny Perez couldn't be with us at PyCon US, but she's been participating through the photos and videos we sent her, and she's been continuing to post for PyLadiesCon social media accounts.
We left this message for her and if you want to share a message for her too, we're sure she'll appreciate it. Thanks Denny for everything you do!
