I’m incredibly honored to have received a community service award at #PyConUS2025. I love all the work I do with #PyTexas, and look to many more years of contributing to the community. Also, fun fact, I received this award on the anniversary of my first day at my first ever #PyConUS
Just want to call out how effective this panel is as a way to construct a talk on a complex subject. This is still a prepared presentation -- look at the slides matching the discussion topics -- but using a community member as a host to "guide" the discussion, bridging us to "outsiders" with an important story. It looks like a panel, but it isn't that.
As someone who appreciates the craft of presentation, this is A++. Thanks @Jackiekazil et al! #PyConUS
