Just got word from @encukou that #PyConUS for 2026 ended on May 19, 2026 at 20:30 PT.

For you new folks, the tradition normally is the conference ends when Larry Hastings leaves, but this year, he passed the torch to Petr.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who attended. This was a truly magical year and you made this happen.

How to make friends and learn a new language at #PyconUS

the first day back after a holiday break is an endless sea of people catching up from the past 2 weeks and asking what happened 10 days ago.

So I took a break from finding timecodes to complete fault reports, caught up on socials, and ending my day on a positive note cuz I'm seeing so many folks are registering and booking places to stay for #PyConUS 2026 in Long Beach!

we're super short on volunteers tomorrow (May 15) at #PyConUS. We're seeing 50% empty shifts for green room volunteers, session runners and chairs.

If you have a talk session to wish to see tomorrow, why not double up and help out by being a session chair for that time?

If someone tells you to go outside the doors to get to seaside. You may not be allowed to come back. Please avoid. #PyconUS

Totally overpacked for #pyconus.

But if you want to talk about (outside of Python of course!) quad skating, livestreaming or 175 uniquely produced volunteer gifts using a tiny laser, I got props!
