Memories of Djangonaut Space. 🥰 🚀

What an amazing program, and it was lovely being mentioned in yesterday's PyCon US keynote by Rachell and Tim.

A complete lack of spoons keeps me away from participating in current rounds of DS and other contributions, but I wish the program all the best and hope to eventually return.

I’m so glad I made it for the first three hours of the sprints! We got a bunch of new contributors to the Pallets projects, including several devs completely new to OSS. Everyone’s being really helpful and welcoming.

was a fantastic conference, filled with technical insights and community building. Kudos to @elthenerd @jonafato , all the organizers, and everyone who just showed up with a friendly face and eagerness to learn. Til next year!

OH:
"Is this the CPython sprint table?"
"Well you're here, so now this is the CPython sprint table."

It was really nice to see so many new contributors approaching @django with the guidance of Django Fellows Natalia and Jacob, together with @CodenameTim , @Rachell from @djangonaut , and many other experienced community members ✨

I only had a short time before leaving, but I was happy to say hello, thank everyone working on the Django sprint, and greet a few more friends from the Python community 📸

So happy to see my friends reporting that they got PRs merged to CPython today at the sprint. Congratulations!!
Thanks to the core devs onsite who were helping the new contributors land their PRs.
My own sprint was more in the form of Self-care and human-ing than PRs. I went back to the urgent care clinic, got an injection for my chronic pain so now I don't have to tough it out anymore.
