At #reInvent this year I tried a PeerTalk meetup for the first time... and was very impressed with the conversation. We bounced around ideas and tradeoffs around architecture decisions without the need to gloss it over like you get from the stage presentations.
I wonder if there's a way to better scale talking about the hard parts of development at conferences like this.
#AWS announced two exciting features at #reinvent: RAG evaluation and LLM-as-judge availability within #bedrock.
With RAG evaluation, a reference dataset is used to compare the answers of two models when retrieving them from a knowledge base. Having a reference baseline is helpful for everyday RAG operations.
The second strategy involves using a #LLM to evaluate the response of another LLM, thus acting as a judge.
