At #reInvent this year I tried a PeerTalk meetup for the first time... and was very impressed with the conversation. We bounced around ideas and tradeoffs around architecture decisions without the need to gloss it over like you get from the stage presentations.
I wonder if there's a way to better scale talking about the hard parts of development at conferences like this.
I’m live-blogging the #reInvent keynote over on LinkedIn! Follow along here: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/snaplogic_awsreinvent-activity-7269738384460320768-RExR
This JPMC presentation at #reinvent feels a bit overly rehearsed — which if anything emphasises just how good the AWS presenters are, to make their presentations feel as natural as they do.
I think this is the first time I’ve seen Apple on stage at an AWS keynote, and especially as a customer; that was a closely guarded but broadly known secret for quite a while #reinvent
Jesus as an EU citizen I would have love Apple not to brag about Apple Intelligence on #ReInvent (we have zero features here lol)
Most common question we’ve been getting: why with multiple Gen-AI models instead of focusing on one?
Our belief: not all AI models are created equal. CodeRabbit does the hard work of querying multiple AI models for different aspects of code reviews cycle. We already work with OpenAI and Claude and look forward to working with Amazon Nova.

Google Spanner has some competition #reinvent
Nice flex to do a performance test vs Google, and then announce the results on stage (4x faster; wonder what Google will have to say about this in response)
