Namespaces sadly not coming because takamori is too busy with work, but it will be a key concept for ruby 4.0!

An idea is to release 4.0 next year 30 year after the first release!

Another feature potentially coming it the pipleline operator. Last time it was cancelled because it was different from Elixir. He also points out the F# pipeline operator which starts from the end.

We love Ruby, we use it and we form the community and thats why we organize conferences.

We also have conferences in the US and Europe. its fun. and so we created gems and thus Rubygems. So we improved the language. 2001 in Tampa we had the first ruby conference there and we had people from 15 countries.

The amount of love is unique in the Ruby Community and that love made it a nice and friendly community. I am very proud of you. Ruby is great and it is OSS.

I made Ruby for myself. And then I decided to share it with other people by putting it on the internet. I was suprised that other people agreed with me that its was a beautiful nice language.

Hello from the second day of
Mr Shugo Maeda beginns the day with talking about the internet and how some of us cannot even remember a time without it. He says a system where individual nodes that even regular users can set up would be a better alternative to big centralized plattforms. He sees a lot of posts on X. He requests the Ruby Community to post about RubyWorld on other plattforms like Mastodon or Threads.

Note: There is livestream today too!
