SciPy 2024 Volunteer Sign-up Form

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for SciPy 2024, a community event dedicated to the advancement of scientific computing through open source Python software for mathematics, science, and engineering. We appreciate your interest and willingness to contribute to this community-driven event. To apply for a volunteer position, please fill in the details below by June 16. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance by June 21. In appreciation for your support, volunteers will receive a complimentary pass to the conference. Additionally, volunteers who participate in the tutorial days will also be granted a free pass to the tutorial sessions. To ensure the smooth operation of the event, we kindly request that volunteers commit to dedicating at least 50% of their time during the conference. Conference dates: July 08-09 - Tutorials July 10-12 - Talks Conference Location: Tacoma Convention Center Tacoma, Washington Example Volunteer Duties: - Check-in attendees at registration desk - Introduce speakers and ensure sessions begin and end on time. - Answer or appropriately redirect questions from attendees and speakers - Hand out t-shirts - Appropriately redirect any Code of Conduct complaints - Helping with any ad hoc needs Please Note: We are asking that you devote at least half of your time at the conference helping with any of the tasks that need to be done. For example, if you attend for two days, you will be expected to volunteer for one day's worth of time.
