@[email protected]I’m a quietly lurking veteran of the information security community. I am a 6809, 68k, VAX, x86, MIPS, PPC, ARM and now RISC-V assembly programmer, but C, C++, Python, and Rust are my more abstract staples, usually on Linux or BSD.
I’m a software engineer, vulnerability researcher, and reverse engineer, specializing in firmware extraction on difficult targets, secure-by-design systems engineering (with preference toward formal verification when plausible), and highly resilient software systems with a very heavy focus on robust networking and inter-process communications models and their security.
I have strong educational foundations in computer science, mathematics, physics, and electrical engineering.
My prior role was as a CISO of a top ten US defense contractor with everything that entails, and my day job is now the Chief Technology Officer at https://blackmesa.com

@[email protected]Happily mangling data and containers at Cisco, they don't pay me enough to talk for them. I'm also doing the network at FOSDEM for a few years already.
Mostly using Golang/Python in development and ML. Of course using Linux, also a infosec and general networking guy, used to do a lot more Common Lisp and Debian.
Multilingual, so expect retoots and content in a mixed set of languages... I have a 'Belgian' account (mostly Dutch/French) at @pvaneynd
