Gelato break during DjangoCon Europe 2026… in a place called Django in Athens🍦😄
Couldn’t not stop here.
Thinking of @mariatta , this feels very on brand for her conference selfies 😄
👀 I'm not sure when Vivaldi added this split-pane tiling window feature, but I love the hell out of it. There are a ton of options, but I have been blissfully using it for the last 3 to 4 weeks, and it's wonderful.
PSA: @djangocon had to move the conference up a few weeks to August 24th to the 28th because venues...
I hope to still see you there!
I saw a package published from work by Kraken tech (I think) which gave more control over database transactions.
Has anybody else seen this? I'd love to find a link to the repo again. I was going to share it and now can't recall the name 🤦♂️
This trip to DjangoCon Europe in Athens wasn’t just a flight ✈️
I tried to turn it into a small “Django speaking tour”, a bit like the one I did in 2022.
Yesterday I was in Lecce for a Django talk and a walk through the city with the local community. This morning I reached Bari, had a quick lunch by the Adriatic sea with the Python Bari organizer, and then flew to Athens.
Same sea, different shore, same community.
Looking forward to meetings you all.😊
🎙️ TALK: Oh, I Found a Security Issue by @m_holtermann
This talk is your behind-the-scenes guide to Django's best in class security processes. Markus will give an introduction to how the team handles security issues, review the history of Django’s security issues and explore the impact of AI and LLMs on the security of Django as well as its security team.
Trip to the #DjangoCon booked. I'm terrified 😅
🎤 Keynote speaker: @carlton
We're elated to announce Carlton Gibson as a keynote speaker for DjangoCon Europe 2026! 🎉
Carlton is a former Django Fellow and the creator/maintainer of multiple open-source projects in the Django ecosystem. You may also know him as the co-host of the @djangochat podcast. All in all, we just had to have him in Athens. 🇬🇷✨
Can't wait to hear everything he has to share! 🌟
You have questions? 📮
Well, we have answers. Ask us anything about DjangoCon Europe 2026 in the comments, from the CfP process and ticket sales to the venue, location and everything in between.
We're waiting! 📩👇
🚨 Last call for proposals! The CFP closes on Sunday, February 8 (end of day), so if you've been working on a talk idea, now is the time to polish it and send it in. We'd love to see you on stage this April. 🌺
I just published a recap of my DjangoCon Europe 2026 🇬🇷
It’s a timeline of all the posts I shared live during the conference, with photos and small moments along the way.
A simple way to relive the experience from start to sprints 🙂
