I was really looking forward to this year's #djangoCon, but life had other plans. I ended up in the ICU this past weekend, after walking around for a week or so with a pulmonary embolism(!)
I'm recovering slowly but well. I don't miss programming at the moment, but I sure miss all the people I've met through programming, especially in the Django world.

I say this every year at @djangocon: MAJOR respect for our presenters where English is a secondary language. Presenting is terrifying enough, doing it in a secondary language is simply AMAZING. #djangocon #djangoconus

Bye #DjangoCon - sadly I have to leave a bit early. Iโm leaving super inspired and excited about the future! Weโve got some work to do, what community doesnโt, but Iโm feeling really confidant that weโve got the pieces in place to get some really great things done.
I thought @djangoconโs COVID policy struck a good balance this year (again): Testing on the day of the conference, and again before the sprints, plus a seating area in the talks where masks were required. This seemed to me to work well. Wonder what others think? #djangocon ๐
