I was really looking forward to this year's #djangoCon, but life had other plans. I ended up in the ICU this past weekend, after walking around for a week or so with a pulmonary embolism(!)
I'm recovering slowly but well. I don't miss programming at the moment, but I sure miss all the people I've met through programming, especially in the Django world.

Bye #DjangoCon - sadly I have to leave a bit early. I’m leaving super inspired and excited about the future! We’ve got some work to do, what community doesn’t, but I’m feeling really confidant that we’ve got the pieces in place to get some really great things done.
I thought @djangocon’s COVID policy struck a good balance this year (again): Testing on the day of the conference, and again before the sprints, plus a seating area in the talks where masks were required. This seemed to me to work well. Wonder what others think? #djangocon 🐂
