Pretty sure #EuroPython 2025 was my top 1 fav conference ever. Just the perfect mixture of catching up with people I know, meeting people I don’t know, learning new things. Time well spent chatting w/ Python veterans and also first-timers
Volunteering there was ACE, and for #Django people, I’m thankful we got to have a booth, and birthday cake for our project

At #EuroPython lots of people are asking how many projects are built with @django. The answer is about 500,000 to 1M. And yet we only raise $250k per year to support the project, yep, sustainability in open source is hard ☺️
As #Django turns 20 we’re starting to explore the tough existential questions at the #EuroPython social… does the Django pony have a name?
Just signed up to Community Notes after hearing Andy Kitchen and Laura Summers at #EuroPython. Understanding those algorithms is crucial for our society, we badly need those talks in the #Python community 💚
I’ll be at the Packaging Summit tomorrow at #EuroPython – any thoughts on what are important Python packaging topics for the Django community? Sustainability / fundraising? Package discovery? PEP 772 I imagine?
Any Djangonauts around for the #EuroPython sprints? I’d like to do some #Django contributing, ideally support others. If there are other pre-existing contributors around we can team up and support more people
