@Monxerxz Last year this book made a big splash at #FWD50 https://www.hackyourbureaucracy.com/
"There's more of a community now, across digital teams. Where will things be 10 years from now?" Angelica Quirarte #fwd50
Talks at #FWD50 are really making me think we need to move towards a product management model, with empowered, multidisciplinary service teams.
I'm taking the opportunity to reshare a little thing I had wrote that briefly touched on this (and what we can do in the meantime, in the context of the GC web presence):

“What if our number one priority was to deliver government services that made people feel agency, and empowered, and a sense of control?” Martha Edwards #fwd50 @marthaedwards

“Shout-out to CDS, I miss you! But I'm also excited about having been able to incubate CDS within TBS but that they are now in a place where they can scale their impact.” Catherine Luelo #fwd50
I have literally no sense of scale for this talk about agile procurement of trains from living in Ottawa to be honest. “Can you imagine it taking 8 years to have trains?” Yes? Is that fast? Slow? #fwd50 #ottawa #octranspo
For those of you that are curious here is an excellent introduction to complexity and the public service https://markfoden.com/clockcat #fwd50 #Podcast @markfoden
“Even (as governments) if we can't trust people, in our core and in our policies, we can still make people feel trusted. That's really what matters – what people feel, when they're trying to access services, that will affect them or change their lives.” Martha Edwards #fwd50 @marthaedwards
“For 13 years it's been my job to advocate for users. We expect a lot of trust from people, as governments, but we don't give a lot of trust back.” Martha Edwards #fwd50 @marthaedwards @fwd50
I do think (and I've said it before) that it all needs a refresh - or at least a formal reflection. It has been a decade plus and there is too much dogma now. We (and I'm part of the problem) failed to be agile about it all - we missed out on the interate, iterate, iterate element! #fwd50
