I always love Alistair Croll's introductions from #FWD50. The @fwd50 conference is just such a great opportunity for government leaders to get together and challenge us all to take on the Herculean task of building effective government services. This requires us to build services that citizens can trust. Loved the salmon analogy.
@Monxerxz Last year this book made a big splash at #FWD50 https://www.hackyourbureaucracy.com/
@sboots may not say GOSLINGS on the #FWD50 stage, but worth raising them. Nerds and Nachos is the current form. @russellmcormond @mcr314 @mirgray were a key part of keeping that fire for open source burning.
Great points by Kris Lovejoy about the importance in data when it comes to AI. Love that she highlighted Augmented Intelligence, Another great speaker at #FWD50
What are we doing on addressing our legacy infrastructure?

@afhill Stuart Brand's Pace Layers are great.
I was looking at ways to apply his ideas to government https://codepen.io/mgifford-the-typescripter/pen/qBoYKoP
@digiphile It's really pretty good as a virtual conference too. The #FWD50 folks have done a great job of creating a hybrid event.
I just bought Marina Nitze
& Nick Sinai
book #HackYourBureaucracy for a friend in #government. https://hackyourbureaucracy.com
After watching Marina at #FWD50 & at the IOG's #ELPdigi
I am convinced that any #CivilServant seeking to create change should read it.
Great points about vendor lock-in with the Beeck Center. The UK realized that they needed to break the cozy relationship between vendors and government agencies. #FWD50
