I was honestly not much of a theater kid *as* a kid myself, but I am proud to have contributed to the Theater Kid Energy of #NBPy, which I am starting to understand is the most Theater Kid Energy of any tech conference I have ever been to https://social.northbaypython.org/@NorthBayPython/112706972358801482
Seems like a thing an ai captioner would say, @whitecoatcaptioning #NBPY
Since I have received this correction to my talk from at least 3 people already, let me just issue it publicly now so you don't need to check: you can also specify your coverage options in pyproject.toml, you don't *have* to use .coveragerc any more. #NBPy

Couldn't attend North Bay Python? Hopefully some of the toots out there are giving you a glimpse at what you're missing.
My video from yesterday has been processed by @nextdayvideo (thanks!)
Take a look! I talk about bridges and community... and you can maybe catch a glimpse of that time when I wanted to be a cowboy (I was 5 years old).
Decompressing after an incredible day of talks at North Bay Python. Having a one track conference is truly special. There's a sense of camaraderie that's sometimes missing from larger conferences.
And there's still room for the "hallway track" between talks, at lunch, during break, and so on... if that's something you look for at conferences.
I got to sit and have lunch with some people I look up to @pamelafox @davidism @simon
Looking forward to tomorrow!
Hot take: sooner or later all data consumption APIs trend towards SQL *ducks* #nbpy
(Before I scare our mission-focused people at our fiscal sponsor: #NBPy is an event to improve the quality of conversation in and around the #Python community. We put people in a "room" in a nice spot and see what happens.
We need non-Python people to show up for that to work, and we hope that non-Python people benefit from what we do too.)
No hallway? No problem!
Some #nbpy tracks:
- barn track (bonus: cats)
- picnic table track
- fedi track
- brewery track (alcohol consumption not required)
What else?
@parisba great talk, I told one of my kids at home that you were at the #NBPy conference I was attending today, and they knew who you were from Night in the Woods, one of their all time favorite games. It was bonus fun that you went to school with @chrisjrn in Tasmania.
Won't be in Petaluma tomorrow, but loved that you unmasked the crazy of LLM and how easily they can be manipulated to spew even crazier notions than Chris being President of the USA since forever. Cheers!
