@mcdwayne wrote an excellent recap of #PHPTek. Check it out: https://blog.gitguardian.com/phptek-2024/
The latest issue of @phparch magazine is out!
I love how they were able to get articles about experiences at and photographs from #PHPTek (last week!) included in this issue.

This is part of the reason I couldnāt get to a good place (mentally) in order to do a _real_ āSaving Open Sourceā talk at #PHPTek:
From @geerlingguy: ā2024 is the year corporate open source diedā

Iāve seen a number of folks get excited about contributing to #OpenSource since #PHPTek, and thatās amazing!
My advice: pace yourself, and start small. Give yourself a long runway, and if you donāt contribute at the level you were hoping, donāt count that as a failure, and donāt beat yourself up over it.
Itās easy to burn out quickly if your expectation is to jump head-first into open source. Every contribution, no matter how tiny you perceive it, is a success.
Another excellent #PHPTek, thanks to @eric, @john, and the entire @phparch team. You all rock! š¤
Thank you to the amazing sponsors who made it all possible!

OH: āA lot of the stuff that Python gets praised for being fast at, PHP now outperforms Python at doing, but itās a story weāre not really telling. We should be telling that story.ā #PHPTek #HallwayTrack #PHP
Iāve posted the slides to my #Composer package tutorial at #PHPTek. Many apologies for not posting them beforehand. I normally do that, and it slipped my mind this time. #PHP
