Attending the talk "Lies, damned lies and large language models" by @t_redactyl at #PyConUS in Ballroom BC and I'm excited to learn why they hallucinate so much.

Very interesting to hear how much Hatch from #PyPA has changed over the years. It looks like it's slated to become the app release tool to replace them all, taking on the responsibilities of Twine, Virtualenv, SetupTools, etc. All with a flexible plugin system for future extensibility.

Now that we have reached the closing of #PyConUS talks, I'll no longer be posting #PyConUSOpenSpaces announcements.

Thank you to everyone who has walked up to me and recognized me from posting those, my goal is to make them more accessible since we talk a lot about the hallway track.

I'll be sticking around for the #PyConSprints if anyone wants to find me. Can't guarantee I'll be posting room locations for those 😅.

#PyCon #PyConUS2024

Confirmed at #PyConUS a 5 year (maybe more, maybe less) plan for Python to remove the GIL. Currently they've got separate builds for with-GIL and free-threaded, the goal is to ensure backward compatibility while eventually getting rid of the GIL.

This is not going to be #Python 4.

I enjoyed the diversity and inclusion panel at PyCon, and I especially appreciated the call for support at the end for the various groups they represented.
