Portland, OR: "we have lots of bridges!”
#Pittsburgh: “hold my Yuengling 🤣”
(attached photos are, idk. maybe 1/2-2/3 of the bridges immediately near downtown? There's at least another 5 or 6 not visible crossing the Allegheny on the other side of the skyline, and another just down the Ohio to the left.)
(Other #PyConUS attendees: the jaunt across the river to the inclines is SUPER WORTH IT. Grab nearly any bus or hop over to the old train station near the Westin to catch the light rail.)

Pretty stoked about attending #PyConUS this week! Any tips for Thursday? My first day
Does anyone happen to know if it is possible to get a projector for an open space at #PyConUS? I have some ideas that involve discussions of code where it would be useful if a participant could share their screen with a larger group.
There are not enough #PyConUS people at my gate.
Anyone bring their family with them my wife and 5yo will be stuck in the hotel all bored if there’s no one else to hang with?
Also I’m only hoping for family friendly dinners so they can enjoy Pittsburgh as well.
Once they turn to bed I will go back out and do the Con Thing.

At the airport en route to #PyConUS and feeling all kinds of feelings but let me start with this one, which too often remains unstated in the constantly frustrating and difficult world of software development:
I love Python. I love the Python community. It is such an enormous array of gifts (the code, the ecosystem, the social events) that has enabled so much of my career and my *life* that I want to express my gratitude.
It's that time of year when I try to use mastodon for the sake of connecting with folx at #PyConUS and get utterly confused. Hold on to your hats, kids 👒
