A #PyConUS attendee pointed out this placement of this "Beautiful Soup" plate next to this snake plate in the Andy Warhol museium.
I do not understand whether this was done deliberately.

Feeling gratitude for so much around #PyConUS as I make my way home. ๐๐
Thanks to @pycon staff, volunteers, speakers, sponsors, and all others who make this event what it is. ๐ค
I met and re-met SO many folks. Thank you for the great conversations. I'm already looking forward to the next time we meet in-person. ๐
I'm catching up on #PyConUS talks that I wish I had seen in-person.
@marieroald & @yngvem's Unicode talk is my favorite so far.
It teaches how Unicode works by demonstrating each layer of weirdness that can occur. ๐ฏ
I'm currently flying to Pittsburgh, listening to the end of The Upswing audiobook, thinking about @brainwane singing Solidarity Forever during her #PyConUS 2024 keynote, and remembering conversations with #Python community members about doing what's best for the community as a whole.
This will likely be the most important audiobook I'll listen to this year. I hope we can continue moving from individualism to communitarianism, both as a community and as a world. Let's move from "me" to "we". ๐
Last year I gave a meta lightning talk on giving a lightning talk at #PyConUS.
This year @mathsppblog gave his own talk on the same topic.
I hope this becomes a tradition for the first day of @pycon lightning talks each year.
You too can give a lightning talk!
Pretty sure there's both a lot of discomfort in this room during @pluralistic's keynote and a lot of head nodding... from the same people.
I've updated my "How to have a great first PyCon" blog post for 2025.
I linked to more blog posts from others on "how to PyCon", updated links to this year's PyCon website, added more updates around the implosion of Twitter, and updated some outdated references.
When chatting in the hallway at PyCon, try leaving a gap for someone else to join the conversation. #PyConUS
