I saw 11 new-to-me birds in Long Beach. Conferences are a great way to see new birds!
Visiting the Long Beach Chess Club was a great way to close out a week of PyCon!
This is nuts. We ate at a decent Italian restaurant last night, which I'd recommend to others.
But when you visit the home page for the restaurant, there's no menu available. Instead, there's a chatbot with suggested questions like "Menus in PDF?"
They replaced deterministic links with...questions to a chatbot???

Language matters.
It’s so nice to listen to someone articulate the impacts of the words we use, and the words that are constantly shouted at us by those with giant megaphones.
