I have just finished writing up my #PyConUS review.
It took me 18 years working around the Python community to get there. I'll definitely be heading back again next year!
Thanks to the organisers, volunteers and everyone in attendance for making it such an unforgettable experience!
See you next year!
TIL (well, at #PyConUS I learned): returning from a generator produces the value of a `yield from`. (See https://us.pycon.org/2026/schedule/presentation/98/ for a more real-world example)
I’ve flipped over to fosstodon, so here I am!
For my first post, how about I repost my poster? From #PyConUS
Sunday was running on fumes but I could’ve stood up there all day. Really fun to chat with folks about the project and brag about the awesome team I get to work with.
Thinking unkind thoughts about my past self for scheduling a morning dentist appointment in the immediate aftermath of the 3-hour timezone change that comes with going home from #PyConUS.
I had the pleasure of attending PyCon DE & PyData 2026 in Berlin 🇩🇪, one of Europe’s largest Python and Data Science conferences.
This experience allowed me to:
✅ Deepen my knowledge in Python and Data Science
✅ Discover the latest trends and innovations in the field
✅ Connect with professionals and experts from the global tech community
Always committed to continuous learning 💡

I am home from #PyConUS, ensconced on my couch with my partner, and thinking about how much I enjoyed the fizz of socializing and brain food that characterizes that weekend every year.
I won't even try tag you all; all of you are fantastic and I miss you already.
I'm at LAX waiting for my flight and I keep looking up instinctively because one of the gate agents sounds quite like @baconandcoconut . #PyConUS
Farewell #PyConUS 💜
It was a breath of fresh air to spend the weekend with a bunch of nerds who have largely avoided AI psychosis.
Sorry for those missed. And hello to the new friends I made!👋
