Always love seeing the Pacman rule at the #PyconUS intro. If you want to read more, see my blog post from 9 (!) years ago.

Are you going to #PyConUS? Have you booked in our hotel block? New on the blog, some hard numbers & why we’re in a tight spot. We only have until April 24th to turn the tide, so please read, share, and book your PyCon US stay in the official block today.

I'm debating moving my reservation from the Hyatt to the Westin to help bring the numbers up there. Wondering who is planning on staying at the Westin.

For too long the same voices have dominated the #PyConUS LobbyCon.
It's time for change we can believe in: The Patio at the Hyatt!
Feel the cool ocean breezes as you gaze over the heart of West Coast commerce.
Play your boardgames at the port they all came through!
The outdoor revolution is at hand, join me in two weeks, #pythonistas!
Can you get to the lightning talk/ keynote area through the convention center this morning, or do you still have to go around to the Westin side entrance?
I'm working on something for the PSF booth at #PyConUS this year and I need your help! I know next to nothing about Long Beach and I need words that represent something about the area. Can be pretty much anything, I just need good words that reference something about the area.
Is there a way to have Apple's Reminders be timezone independent? I have reminders to do thinfs that need to be done at 9AM every few days. It doesn't matter if I'm home, in London, or in Tokyo, I need that reminder to go off at 9AM or it is not useful to me. I'm getting reminders now 3 hours earlier than I should because I'm in CA for #PyConUS and that's how timezones work but not how reminders do. I need to check my glucose based on time where I am, not where I set the reminder.
I'll be giving a talk about Rust for CPython at #PyConUS this year! Very excited to share about what we've been working on and our plans!
This will be my first time speaking at PyConUS, so I'm also a bit nervous 😅
EDIT: I decided to make my own: https://hachyderm.io/@SnoopJ/116558404748865917
Has anybody done a printer-friendly schedule for #PyConUS this year? A web search did not turn up anything.
(yes, I am aware the schedule is subject to change. I will deal with this using the advanced technology of "a pen", if it comes up)
Texts I’ve received from my 15yo while away at PyCon:
