Day 2 (64)

Hey so guess who made efforts to make himself a printer schedule for , and then forgot his pre-printed copies in Boston? blobfoxfingerguns

One of my favorite things about PyCon US is how many different communities, companies, and people all end up sharing the same space for a few hours ✨

Tomorrow morning the conference officially starts with the first keynote.

And for me, the next stop will be my talk tomorrow at 11:00 in the AI track 🎤

I spent most of the opening reception walking around the expo area, talking with people from sponsors, startups, the Python Software Foundation, Django, and many other communities 📸

Also met speakers, old friends, and many people from the US Python community and beyond.

This afternoon was the opening reception of PyCon US ✨

The expo hall finally opened and the whole conference slowly came together in one place after the tutorials and sponsor talks.

A lot of people already here for the first days of the conference gathered to chat, meet again, and explore the booths.

I’ve knitted a pair of socks for the Auction @ 2026! They fit a US women’s 7.5-9 shoe or men’s 6-7.5 (about 23.8-25.1 cm foot length, depending on width/instep etc.).

The yarn is composed of:

52% Silk
24% Mohair
20% Merino
4% Viscose

The cat’s paws and tail are not included; she’s still using them.

hey folks,

we're super short on volunteers tomorrow (May 15) at . We're seeing 50% empty shifts for green room volunteers, session runners and chairs.

If you have a talk session to wish to see tomorrow, why not double up and help out by being a session chair for that time?

So I keep seeing toots about the draft that @crazy4pi314 put on. Do we have enough magic players coming to / ZDS this fall for me to try to organize something?!

Hey! If you're at and have been thinking "hey, I kinda wanna get into this 3D printing thing...", come to my open space FRIDAY at 11 am in 102C! I've been in the hobby since 2016 and can answer pretty much any 3D printing question you might have! We're gonna do a quick mini presentation at the beginning to get everybody on the same page, then q&a / discussion!
