I watched most of the Peter DeSantis Monday evening keynote and didn’t see any sustainability discussion. It seemed like an awkward mix of too geeky for most people but with little real technical meat for people who are interested in how works.

Control Tower will provide prescriptive backup plans. More of this please.
Control Tower needs more opinionated policies. Landing Zone Accelerator kinda provides prescriptive configs, but it's a half backed solution that very few customers use. aws.amazon.com/about-aws/whats

post- update: Nothing new on carbon metrics, but AWS did a press release about their latest datacenter efficiency technology, and released Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) data for all their regions for 2022 and 2023, which is a welcome development. I spoke with the teams and they have nothing that was ready to announce.
