I should have done more research when I spoke about Mastodon client apps in my #RubyWorld talk, I mentioned that SoraSNS is made in Japan... of course, so are Feather, Subway Tooter, Dawn, ZonePane, TootDesk and maybe even more that I missed mentioning. I love the diverse range of apps that are available for different cultures and preferences! Thank you to the developer community in Japan! -> https://joinmastodon.org/apps
@tta49 I was very interested and excited to learn about mruby/c and Picoruby and ITOC at #RubyWorld - I did not find out how they drive the RGB LEDs but I will have to learn about this.
Listening to Nickle from Taiwan talking about the relationship between Kaohsiung city and Ruby City Matsue - lovely to see the community connecting in this way #RubyWorld
The fediwall I set up for #RubyWorld tracks that hashtag and also #RubyPrize and #RubyWeek across a number of instances (maybe I am missing some important ones, you can check the config file in the URL). It could also be set to post all of the posts from a specific account. Maybe next year there would be an official RubyWorld conference account in the fediverse, sharing the news about the 20th anniversary Ruby release that would be about to be launched… 🙂
Mr Shugo Maeda asking for the conference attendees to show support for the Fediverse and decentralised social web! Arigatou gozaimasu 🙏🏻#RubyWorld
Nothing but admiration for the interpreters who cover tech conferences. So much lingo and terminology, and also as speakers we are not always all the most concise and on-point! Thank you to the translation team at #RubyWorld!
I noticed that a lot of the speakers at #RubyWorld use presentation software called Rabbit. Adding to my list to investigate! https://rabbit-shocker.org/
This has been something I have experienced at #RubyWorld - the warmth and love of the community here. @[email protected] @[email protected]
If you would like to see the conversations at #RubyWorld I made a fediwall for this https://andyp.url.lol/rw2024
