1956 in Wanne-Eickel geboren und studierte bis 1979 Germanistik, Philosophie und Musikwissenschaft in Bochum und Köln. 1984 schloss er ein Studium zum Orchestertrompeter an der Folkwang-Musikhochschule in Essen ab. Bis 1997 arbeitete er als freiberuflicher Musiker. Danach absolvierte er eine Umschulung zum Informationstechnologen bei Siemens-Nixdorf in München und arbeitete als freiberuflicher Informationstechnologe. Heute lebt er im bayerischen Oberland als Schriftsteller und Musikproduzent.
