Frameworks, Libraries, and others
I now block several known LLM crawlers from my site

If you'd like to do the same, feel free to take my robots.txt
Which one would you choose?
1. Make sure you correctly handle user input in SQL queries to prevent SQL injection, or
2. Make a standard banning any punctuation in geographical places and force local authorities to rename streets and reissue all street signs.

Mt Hood from Elk Meadows, June of '23. Can't wait to get back up there!
I've seen some #3DPrinting #Blog's here on Mastodon writing from an utterly unhinged privileged position, inducing frustration and shame in people with "older" printers.
Apparently "old" even includes devices like Prusa's MK3S, introduced in 2019.
This is the same bullshit like with smartphones. Just because a printer doesn't go 300mm/s that doesn't mean it must be "frustrating" or even, as one wrote, "obsolete". Such bullshit.
If that's the 3D printing community I want no part of it. 🙄
I'm on the train to Delft for #rustnl2024 . I still have more work to do on the slides, and am a bit tired from the flight, but I'm sure it's going to be a great experience and I'm looking forward to meeting lots of people.
I was not able to do a lot of implementation work on Xilem because I was trying to meet a paper deadline, but the community has really come together, and I think the demo will be impressive. It's come a long way just in the last couple of weeks.
A couple of days ago, I was on the Data Latam podcast to talk about Rust, data engineering, community, and open-source — if those are things that interest you, you may want to give it a listen!

In the last year and a half I have written a lot of Rust code, only some of which is open source at the moment: Xot, the capable XML tree library.
I have also most of a XPath 3.1 implementation and part of an XSLT 3.0 implementation. And a structural human readable diffing library for XML documents.
I happen to have a (revived) background in established tech like XML and I can write Rust, which makes for an interesting combination.
Buttplug is a framework for hooking up hardware to interfaces, where hardware usually means sex toys, but could honestly be just about anything.

No #bevymergetrain today: I just arrived in Delft for #rustnl2024 after an overnight flight 😅 Ping the maintainers if there's something blocking your #bevy work though!
